For many children the everyday joy of playing, learning and expressing their feelings is limited. We believe that emotional development is part of a child’s wellbeing and we are doing something to make this better for children in our community.
We are participating in the biggest emotional intelligence event in history — with over 330,000 participants, 1,500 volunteers in 157 countries and 22 partner organizations from around the world.
It’s called a POP-UP Festival for emotions, wellbeing, and children’s rights to celebrate U.N. Universal Children’s Day & share love and skills for a better world.
According to the United Nations, the purpose of Universal Children’s day is to encourage people to, “advocate, promote and celebrate children’s rights, translating into dialogues and actions that will build a better world for Children.” The POP-UP Festival does just this. By engaging volunteers around the world, the celebration fosters dialogue about essential skills for children and adults to develop self-awareness and wellbeing.
This POP-UP Festival will be launched on October 14, 2019, 3-5PM at the SM Megamall Event Center. We are very excited to be working with Studentdesk Integrated Montessori School serving over 300 participants composed of students, teachers, and families. We have over 30 volunteers working to make this FREE event possible.
The POP-UP Festival will educate and inspire both children & adults to develop and practice emotional intelligence – the learnable, measurable skills that fuel wellbeing and support a world where children’s rights are fully realized.
